The patient has been the filing cabinet

  • Every clinic keeps its own paper file — the story is re-told at every new door

  • Patients personally carry prescriptions, lab printouts, and radiology CDs between doctor, pharmacy, and lab

  • A child's history restarts with every new doctor — nothing follows them as they grow

  • No way to say "the pharmacist may see this, not that" — paper is paper, whoever holds it reads it

  • Millions of Iraqis lack a national ID — and the system treats them as a paperwork problem before a patient

One family health home

  • Records travel with the person — not the clinic, not the folder, not the doctor who retired

  • The patient is the anchor, not the paperwork — no more carrying your own history from door to door

  • A pediatric profile begins at birth and stays linked to guardians for life

  • Patient-controlled consent — you decide who sees what, for how long, and why

  • Every patient belongs, with or without a national ID — identity is isolated, encrypted, and never a barrier to care

One record, every family member, forever

A single household registry links every family member — newborn, child, adult, elderly relative — under one family account. Guardianship is formal and logged: parents manage a child's record, a designated guardian speaks for an elderly or incapacitated relative, and when a child turns eighteen, control transitions to them automatically — no phone call to the clinic needed.

  • Household registry connects every generation
  • Guardian designations are verified and audit-logged
  • Automatic transition to full control at age eighteen
  • Records stay with your family, not with one clinic

You decide who sees what

Patient-controlled consent lets you grant or revoke access by data category, time window, and purpose — for any provider, at any moment. If a clinician ever needs emergency break-glass access without your prior consent, it is only for a genuine emergency, and it is always logged with who, when, and why — visible to you, never silent, never permanent.

  • Grant and revoke consent by category, purpose, and time
  • The pharmacist sees your prescription — not your diagnosis
  • Break-glass emergency access is logged and visible to you
  • Revocation takes effect immediately

Stored separately from medical records

Every patient belongs here — with or without an ID

Not everyone in Iraq has a national ID ready to show. Dijla accepts a national ID, passport, civil status card, UNHCR refugee certificate, or no document at all — every patient still receives their own platform identifier. Identity documents are stored in an isolated, envelope-encrypted vault, completely separate from medical records, with every access permanently logged.

  • National ID, passport, civil ID, refugee certificate, or no document
  • Identity documents are isolated from medical records — always
  • Envelope-encrypted; every vault access is audit-logged
  • No patient is turned away for missing paperwork

For children

A record that grows with your child

Newborn registration — name, birth weight, gestational age, and the link to their mother — happens in one action at the clinic, before a national ID even exists. Their pediatric profile is linked to their guardians and protected by consent from day one.

Available today

  • Newborn registration before a national ID is issued
  • Pediatric profile linked to guardian relationships
  • Consent-gated clinician access, from birth

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

Who can see my family's medical records?

Only healthcare providers you have explicitly authorized. Your consent is required before any clinician can access your records — front desk staff see check-in details only, never your diagnosis or prescriptions. Role alone is never enough: a valid care relationship and your active consent are always required.

What happens if a doctor needs emergency access without my consent?

Dijla has a break-glass mechanism for genuine emergencies. Every such access is permanently logged — who, when, what scope, and why — and it is visible to you and flagged for review. It is never silent and never permanent.

Can I revoke consent I've already given?

Yes, at any time. You can revoke access for any provider, for any data category, immediately. A provider who had access will no longer have it the moment you revoke.

I'm a refugee, or I don't have a national ID — can I still use Dijla?

Yes. Dijla accepts a national ID, passport, civil status card, UNHCR refugee certificate, IDP certificate, or no document at all. Your identity documents are stored in an encrypted vault isolated from your medical records, and you receive a platform-generated patient identifier — the system never turns away a patient over paperwork.

Who manages my child's records, and what happens when they turn eighteen?

You do, as their guardian — a formal, verified, and audit-logged designation. When your child turns eighteen, the system automatically transitions their record to their own full control. No manual step, no phone call to the clinic.

Is AI involved in my family's care?

AI assists — summarize, score, flag, translate; humans approve. AI never diagnoses, prescribes, approves results, or overrides consent. Any AI-assisted summary you see carries the label: "AI-assisted summary. Must be reviewed by a licensed healthcare provider."

What this means for Iraqi families

No more carrying a folder from clinic to clinic. No more losing a child's history when a doctor retires. No more wondering who can see your file. Your family's health record finally belongs to you — built in Arabic, for Iraq's reality, and ready for whoever your family includes.
